No Vacancy
No Vacancy

Raccoons are plentiful throughout the state of West Virginia. You don’t necessarily have to go into
the forests to find them either! Raccoons are unusual because of their thumbs. Although the thumbs are
not opposable, they are able to use them to open many things like doors, and garbage cans, which
makes the raccoon right at home around your home! They have a reputation for being clever,
mischievous, and intelligent. They can survive in almost any environment, and the baby raccoon in my
painting is smart enough not to give up his den tree to this white throated sparrow who would love to
build her nest in the hollow of that branch.

About the Reproduction:  This Giclee reproduction of “No Vacancy” is of the 18 x 24 inch original Acrylic
painting by West Virginia artist Bob Musick. The print is 11 x 17 inches overall with an image size of 10 x
13 inches. These prints have seen sealed with a clear matte finish, but, as with all paper prints, framing
behind glass is recommended as well as avoiding harsh light such as direct sun light.
